3M™ Cloth Roll 577F features a closed coat of alumina zirconia over 100% of the roll for maximum cutting efficiency. Our cloth rolls feature a water resistant cloth backing and firm bonding material giving excellent durability and flexibility.
Primarily used on surfaces where loading is less of a problem, 3M™ Cloth Roll 577F makes a good match for soft metals such as aluminum. Our cloth rolls feature a grinding aid which reduces operating temperature, protecting heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from heat related stress cracks and discolouration. They’re recommended for use on aluminum, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement. Our abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin, meaning our cloth rolls remain durable and flexible even under high heat and pressure.
