Safety Cabinets

Safety Cabinets

Safety cabinets keep dangerous liquids organized, labeled, and separate from work areas. Local and state fire codes often require chemicals to be stored in a safety cabinet to reduce the risk of fire and ensure workers have time to evacuate. Cabinets are often color-coded to help workers and first responders visibly identify cabinet contents, Safety cabinets for flammable and combustible liquids meet NFPA 30 standards to reduce the risk of the contents igniting in the event of a fire or as a result of environmental conditions. The cabinets are red or yellow to indicate to cabinet contents to first responders. They also provide additional time for workers to evacuate or for sprinkler systems to extinguish a fire.
