Description

The NOTIFIER NCM-F Network Communications Module enables NOTIFIER's NFS-640, NFS-3030, and NFS2-3030 Fire Alarm Control Panels, along with NCA and NCA-2 Network Control Annunciators, to connect to the NOTI•FIRE•NET™. There are two versions of the NCM: the NCM-W, which uses twisted pair wire for node connections, and the NCM-F, designed for fiber-optic cable connections. For the NCM-F, when linking nodes/repeaters in sequence, the fiber cable should leave one board via the Transmit (TX) port and enter the next node/repeater via the Receive (RX) port. The fiber-optic pair (RX, TX) from one node/repeater's Port A can link to Port A or B of another. The NCM-F is compatible with devices such as the MIB-F, MIB-WF, NAM-232F, another NCM-F, NCS-F network connection, RPT-F, and RPT-WF. Both NCM-W and NCM-F models fit into any standard chassis like the CHS-4L, CHS-M2, CHS-M3, or CHS-4N. Additionally, the NCM-W model can be mounted on the door using an ADP-4B dress panel on a BMP-1 blank plate within a CAB-4 Series cabinet.
