The MK:440 NoiseSensorLITE is a robust weatherproof outdoor noise monitor, which converts the measured noise level to decibels and provides a standard 4-20mA output, suitable for various process systems including SCADA and DCS.

The measurement range has a factory-selectable 70dB span, making it ideal for measuring and detecting noise events. The high-reliability pure analog noise monitor requires little user intervention and features an easy to remove rain protection windshield and housing for easy calibration.

Electrical connections:

The MK440 is supplied with either a ½” NPT female thread to facilitate fully-protected cabling using standard ½” piping or M20 gland for standard cable entry. Four connections are required to the unit, for power and the 4-20mA control loop. These connections can be made by wiring directly to the internal PCB via the screw terminals supplied.

Mounting options:

The available mounting accessories include U-bolts for vertical and horizontal pipes and a wall mounting bracket. For the best noise monitoring performance, we recommend mounting the MK:440 away from other surfaces, which may reflect noise levels and therefore produce inaccurate measurements.

Intrinsic safety certification:

The NoiseSensorLITE has been certified safe for use in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous environments, which include locations like mines, gas pumps and stations, processing plants, and food and beverage manufacturing locations.
